Church Clean Up — After Men’s Group (11:00 AM), we will be meeting in the Lounge to decide what things need to be cleaned, fixed, etc in preparation for Doors Open Milwaukee.

Sunday, September 22nd For those of you that participated in the Milwaukee Area Community Dialogue (on August 25), you are invited to the follow up conversation at Central UMC at 1:30 PM

Wednesday, September 25th The South East District of the United Methodist Church invites you to a tour of nationally curated free exhibit based on the Pulitzer prize winning book “EVICTED,” by Matthew Desmond which focused on real stories in MKE. Milwaukee is the first stop in its national tour, but it closes soon! We have specially arranged a group tour on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 5:30-7:30 (or come later – any time before 7:00). After we view the exhibit, we will gather for a half-hour time of discussion about our experience.  If you cannot be a part of our special tour, the exhibit is free & open to the public on Fridays, 5-8pm and on Saturdays, 10-4pm until the end of September, at Mobile Design Box, 753 N. 27th St. MKE 53233.

Saturday, September 28th and Sunday, September 29th Doors Open MKE — This is Milwaukee’s 9th Annual Doors Open. This event highlights the city’s art, culture, architecture, and history. We are happy to announce that we have once again been asked to participate in this year’s event. Summerfield UMC will be open for visitors/tours from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on both, Saturday and Sunday.
